Xfmr Power Transformer
Series: Custom ZTSFG / ZPSG
This XFMR power transformer is an engineered dry-type phase-shifting rectifier transformer for heavy-duty EV charging and other high-power rectifier systems. It converts medium-voltage AC, provides electrical isolation, and supplies coordinated multi-winding outputs for 12- or 24-pulse rectification. Specify grid voltage, DC-bus targets, pulse configuration, load profile, impedance, enclosure, and cooling so the transformer can be designed and tested for the complete converter system.

Made to order. Engineering review starts after receipt of the grid, rectifier, load, environment and installation data.
What XFMR Means in Power-Transformer Procurement
Product ListXFMR is an abbreviation, not a complete product specification. A search result may use it for a 12 VA doorbell transformer, a landscape-lighting unit, a control transformer, or an industrial power transformer. The items are not interchangeable. Compare voltage class, kVA, phase count, frequency, winding arrangement, insulation system, enclosure, cooling method, and application before selecting a unit.
The offered product is a made-to-order, medium-voltage dry-type phase-shifting rectifier transformer for multi-pulse rectifiers used in heavy-duty EV charging and other high-power conversion systems. It is not a substitute for a small stocked low-voltage XFMR, and low-voltage catalog prices or ratings do not define this product.
Engineering Inputs for a Phase-Shifting Rectifier XFMR
Product ListStart with the complete electrical system: incoming voltage and tolerance, frequency, short-circuit capacity, grounding method, background harmonics, rectifier topology, bridge count, pulse number, DC-bus voltage and current, duty cycle, overload profile, and the limits at the point of common coupling. These inputs determine the winding groups, phase displacement, insulation coordination, impedance, and thermal design.
For a 12-pulse system, the two secondary groups normally require a coordinated 30-electrical-degree displacement, matched voltage and impedance, and a defined bridge connection. For 24-pulse or higher systems, the transformer manufacturer, rectifier supplier, and system designer should approve the full phasor schedule, phase sequence, bridge numbering, protection logic, and load-sharing criteria before production.
Also state the installation altitude, ambient temperature, indoor or outdoor location, pollution and condensation exposure, enclosure requirement, cable or bus interface, access limits, allowable dimensions and mass, cooling preference, monitoring points, and any witnessed test requirement.
Factory Verification Before the XFMR Ships
Product ListShanghai Beibian applies inspection or test points to incoming material, coils, insulation treatment, core assembly, final assembly, finished-product testing, and outgoing inspection. The approved test plan can include visual inspection, insulation resistance, voltage ratio and phase displacement, winding resistance, short-circuit impedance, load loss, no-load current and loss, applied-voltage and induced-voltage tests, and partial-discharge measurement where the design and standard require it.
Each report should identify the tested unit, rated values, tap position, test conditions, measured results, acceptance limits, and conclusion. Project-specific efficiency, losses, impedance tolerance, harmonic performance, temperature rise, sound level, and witnessed testing must be agreed in the technical schedule before manufacturing; results from another model do not become guarantees for the ordered transformer.
