Dry-Type Rectifier Transformer
Configuration: Heavy-duty EV charging phase-shifting design
This cnbbelc dry-type rectifier transformer supplies phase-shifted AC to a separate 12- or 24-pulse rectifier for heavy-duty EV charging, with the supplied configuration rated up to 2,500 kVA and 10 kV primary voltage. Its secondary arrangement, cooling and enclosure are specified against grid voltage, rectifier topology, overload duty and installation conditions for a project quotation. Dry-type means the windings and core are not immersed in insulating oil; the downstream rectifier produces DC.

Rectifier Duty for Heavy-Duty EV Charging
Product ListThis cnbbelc configuration is designed around high-power EV charging rectifiers and is one application of the dry-type rectifier transformer family. This cnbbelc configuration is designed for the AC input of a heavy-duty EV charging rectifier. The transformer steps the incoming medium-voltage supply to the specified secondary voltages and uses separate, phase-shifted winding groups to feed the downstream rectifier bridges. Power electronics then convert those AC outputs to DC for the charging system; the transformer does not itself generate DC.
This EV charging configuration is rated up to 2,500 kVA with primary voltage up to 10 kV. Its 12- or 24-pulse option depends on the rectifier topology and the site’s harmonic requirements, while Class F/H insulation and dry-type construction support an indoor installation. These are limits and options for this EV charging configuration, not blanket ratings for every rectifier transformer cnbbelc can engineer.
Configure Windings and Cooling Around the Rectifier
Product Listcnbbelc can arrange secondary winding groups with the phase relationship required by the selected 12- or 24-pulse bridge. The rectifier manufacturer’s AC input voltage, current, bridge grouping and commutation behavior determine the winding terminals and impedance target. A multi-pulse connection can reduce selected input harmonics when its bridges and loads are correctly matched; it does not guarantee a site-wide distortion figure by itself.
For a comparable quotation, provide the grid voltage and tapping range, transformer kVA and duty cycle, rectifier AC input and DC output requirements, pulse count, required impedance, overload profile, ambient temperature, installation altitude and enclosure protection. Airflow clearance and room heat rejection are part of the indoor layout; natural or fan-assisted cooling follows the specified continuous and peak duty. Drawings and a unit test plan can then be aligned with the final electrical interface before production.
What Dry-Type Rectifier Transformer Means
Product ListDry-type describes a transformer whose core and windings are not immersed in insulating oil. Solid insulation and air cooling remove the need for an oil-filled tank, while the enclosure and ventilation still have to suit the installation. Rectifier-duty design is a separate distinction: its windings and thermal rating must account for the non-sinusoidal current drawn by the connected bridges. The rectifier stage, not the transformer alone, makes the DC supply.
